Sugar factory worker Jiang Siwang (played by Aaron Kwok) raised his daughter Jiang Lu (played by Lyric Lan) on his own. However, through a series of coincidences, he turns into a little dog. As a dog, Siwang tries his best to find his daughter and discovers that the now-grown-up Jiang Lu has become a songwriter. Despite her glittering exterior, there is a hidden story underneath. Thus, he decides to start a "guardian journey" in the form of the little dog, Ah Wang.
