The film tells the story of a single father who migrates from Taiwan to Singapore for a new life, and his son who faces the issue of peer bullying. In addition to dealing with their own life predicaments, their father-son relationship seems unable to find a proper outlet in the hustle and bustle of Singapore's city life. As such, the father decides to orchestrate a ceremony to 'release' themselves back to nature, hoping to find a release from their cage-like dilemmas. However, things don't go as planned. This move instead pushes them into an irreversible abyss.
