Three Tears in Borneo2024

The story takes place in the 17th year of the Showa era (1942), when the Empire of Japan conscripted many young Taiwanese men to guard Allied POWs in Borneo. This involved a cold-blooded massacre, and after the war, these young men were accused of mistreating POWs and became war criminals. Some guards never returned to Taiwan, and those who did were unwilling to speak of what happened on the island.
In the series, Wu Han-lin, Huang Guan-zhi, and Edward Chu play three Taiwanese brothers who become POW guards and follow the Japanese military to Southeast Asia by warship. In the hot and humid environment, they can only listen to the sound of the waves, longing for their homeland and loved ones. Just when they thought they were about to return home safely, they were caught up in a cold-blooded massacre before the war ended, making their journey home fraught with difficulties.
