The story's protagonist, Kang So-cha (played by Sean Lau), is a drug lord who has been running his drug business for years, with the help of his trusted aide Cheung Kin-hang (played by Aaron Kwok) and his subordinates. A new member, Au Chi-yuen (played by Louis Koo), forms a life-and-death bond with them after an unexpected incident, creating a brother-like relationship among the three. However, after Kang So-cha's drug trafficking operations in Hong Kong are dismantled by the police, he decides to lead his team to the Golden Triangle to continue their criminal activities. At this juncture, he discovers an undercover agent within his ranks. In such a situation, the lines between reality and illusion, enemies and friends, become increasingly blurred.
