Award-winning director Leading Lee's new film "The Time of Huannan" is inspired by the "Huannan Market". As the first feature-length drama in Taiwan's public art history, it successfully captures the complexity of emotions and time in the beautiful youth of 90s boys. Edison Song, Hsia Teng-Hung, Chu Meng-hsuan, and Wang Yu-Ping play the "Four Young Men of Huannan" in the film—a tale of wild love and street-level community spirit intertwined with three boys and a girl—just like the varied ingredients in the market, presenting a unique and rich flavor to people. The film premiered at the 2023 Kaohsiung Film Festival and is set to released in Taiwan cinemas on May 31 2024.

The plot is set in the multicultural Taipei of 2022, where on the delta formed by the convergence of the Tamsui River and the Xindian Creek lies a traditional market with a 55-year-long history, known to all as "Huannan". In 1991, the "Four Young Men of Huannan" appeared in this "Huannan Market". Their pure love story, like the ingredients in the market, is full of interest and diversity. However, it is perplexing that only three people are shown in the photograph, which is labeled "Four Young Men of Huannan". People at the time didn't know that, among these four easy-going "Four Young Men of Huannan", the 28-year-old Fourth Young Man surprisingly came from 2022.
