The Story of Panzhihua
Cast & Crew
  • ★A Half-Century Epic of Entrepreneurship

Set against the backdrop of the 1960s Three-Line Construction, the story focuses on the struggles of ordinary worker Li Xianda:
Steel Tempering: Transitioning from a technician in Shanghai to the deep mountains of Sichuan and Yunnan, participating in the construction of the Panzhihua Steel Plant’s first blast furnace.
Era Imprint: Witnessing the passionate years of "Good People and Good Horses on the Three-Line," showcasing the harsh conditions of "office in tents and sleeping in makeshift accommodations."
Spiritual Legacy: Connecting the perspectives of three generations of builders, tracing the industrial transformation from the Reform and Opening Up to the new era.

★Innovations in Sichuan Opera Film Adaptation

The production team retains three essential elements from the original play:
Dialect Charm: Key dialogues are designed with the rhythm of Sichuan opera percussion.
Spatial Translation: Transforming the virtual stage of the opera into real-life locations in the Three-Line area.
Emotional Resonance: Recreating the core line "This Heart Is at Peace Is My Hometown," which runs through the fifty-year narrative.

    ★Historical Detail Verification

The crew spent two years researching historical materials:
A 1:1 replica of the 1965 ferry construction command center scene.
Recreating the life details of entrepreneurs using "three stones to support a pot."
Inviting retired Panzhihua Steel workers as technical consultants to restore the true story of "using a canned food box to modify a mining lamp."

    ★Social Value Recognition

The film has been rated by Guangming Daily as a "model of new era industrial themes," possessing three layers of realistic significance:
Spiritual Blueprint: Interpreting the spirit of the Three-Line Construction: "hard work, selfless dedication, teamwork, and innovation."
Urban Memory: Documenting Panzhihua’s transformation from "seven households and one tree" to a modern steel city.
Intergenerational Dialogue: Exploring industrial heritage preservation through the conflicts between Li Xianda and his grandchildren.

Set to premiere in 2025, witness how the crimson steel flowers bloom into a monumental testament of the era!
