The story begins with a life-changing fire that occurred ten years ago, which leaves Liao Siyuan (played by Wang Ziqi) with a traumatic dual personality. Ten years later, a campus murder case inadvertently uncovers clues related to the truth behind the fire. As a series of cases unfold, Liao Siyuan, with the assistance of Captain Sun Yang's character from the criminal police, gradually unveils the shocking conspiracy hidden beneath the surface. Sun Yi plays a psychologist who becomes key to unlocking the mystery of his personality, while Liu Mintao plays a mysterious figure intricately linked to the fire incident.
The series progresses through various episodic events, such as the "Campus Poisoning Case" and the "Antique Shop Arson Case," advancing the main storyline layer by layer. As the business tycoon portrayed by Huang Weide surfaces, a key witness played by Chen Ruoxuan mysteriously disappears, and the truth gradually reveals itself from the ashes. Though justice may be delayed, Liao Siyuan will ultimately confront his past and achieve self-redemption.
