The Coming Days

In Chengdu, China, Uncle Wang, who is over seventy years old, enters the final stage of his life due to illness. However, his love and care for his family do not cease with the end of his life. Even many years after his passing, his love continues to surround his family, never fading away. In San Francisco, USA, music therapist Liu Xiaotian uses his touching voice to provide palliative care to those in their final moments. Through a constructed narrative and warm documentation, the film conveys that in the face of birth, aging, illness, and death, cherishing the present is the best solution. At the film's conclusion, against the backdrop of prayer flags fluttering in the wind and the gradually emerging snow-capped mountains, love from different countries and regions converges into a gentle stream, permeating the heart.
