The story revolves around Chang Sheng (played by Guo Jingfei), a police officer at Huacheng North Station, who faces the collapse of his hopes for promotion to deputy director in middle age, alongside the end of his long-term marriage with his wife Zhou Ying. At this time, the stationed police officer at Dongzhai Station, Old Sun (played by Liu Peiqi), unexpectedly passes away due to a sudden illness while on duty. Under pressure from reality and the demands of his job, Chang Sheng takes the initiative to move to the remote Dongzhai Station as a stationed officer.
In this seemingly calm place, underlying tensions run high. Faced with unfriendly villagers, Chang Sheng is determined to tackle the challenges ahead. With the help of rural teacher Wang Dongyu, he begins to learn how to communicate with the villagers. Initially adversaries, Chang Sheng and Wang Dongyu gradually become a highly compatible team, working together to resolve the villagers' difficulties.
