Lies Never Lie

The story begins with the tragic death of psychologist Ning Jing three years ago. Her disciple, Li Mochou (played by Wang Zhen'er), survives an assassination attempt and identifies key clues pointing to the murderer hiding in Baizhou City. Coinciding with the police force's pilot program for criminal psychological profiling, she seizes the opportunity to join the declining Baizhou criminal police team, partnering with the stern team leader Ding Wei (played by Li Yuan). The team includes trace evidence expert Qiao Anran (played by Pan Qiyan), intelligence specialist Zhao Tiaotiao (played by Gao Mingyang), and vice-captain Yue Qun (played by Wang Bowen), who often faces suppression from female colleagues, as they collaboratively solve multiple bizarre cases.
The series unfolds through episodic cases such as the "Art Studio Serial Poisoning" and the "Mirror Room Dismemberment Case," showcasing Li Mochou’s use of micro-expression analysis and criminal psychology reconstruction techniques to gradually dismantle the psychological defenses of the suspects. Throughout the investigation, she and Ding Wei evolve from ideological conflicts to establishing a revolutionary bond, ultimately discovering that Ning Jing’s case is connected to high-ranking officials within the police force. With the help of a mysterious informant played by Liu Lincheng, they unveil the power struggles behind the tragic incident from three years ago.
