Kill My Sins

The story focuses on a tragic massacre of a medical family during the reign of Emperor Shizong, where the orphan Gu Qing (played by Liu Shishi) adopts the alias Ye Ping'an and infiltrates the capital, Luoyang. This skilled wandering doctor becomes embroiled in the "Noble Heart Disease Sudden Death Case" and is falsely accused of being a sorcerer. Amidst public condemnation, she quietly orchestrates her revenge. Yuan Shaocheng (played by Dou Xiao), a minor official from a humble background, targets Ye Ping'an as a scapegoat to advance his career, unaware that he is stepping into a trap meticulously laid by her.
The series unfolds through episodic events such as the "Peony Lantern Poisoning Case" and the "The Imperial Medical Department's Stolen Secret Medicine Case," revealing Ye Ping'an's path of revenge, using her medical skills as a weapon and psychological games as a shield. Zheng Ye Cheng portrays the leader of the Imperial City Guard, while Xuan Lu plays a courtesan from the music house, both becoming pivotal players in the critical moments of the narrative. As Xu Jiao's character, a young apprentice, uncovers crucial evidence, the high-ranking court official played by Huang Haibing is finally exposed for his mysterious connection to the Gu family massacre, leading to an ultimate showdown in this protracted power struggle spanning twenty years.
