In Between

The plot revolves around He Zhinan (played by Tian Xiwei), an ordinary girl whose long-distance relationship with her wealthy boyfriend Gao Peng (played by Zhang Zhehua) begins to fracture. To fill the void of loneliness, He Zhinan has affairs with different men, complicating her feelings. She meets the highly educated and attractive Qu Yipeng (played by Xin Yunlai), who originally has a suitable girlfriend, Han Su (played by Zhou Yutong). However, mistakenly believing that He Zhinan is a rich girl, Qu Yipeng betrays Han Su and engages in an improper relationship with He Zhinan.

Upon discovering He Zhinan's infidelity, Gao Peng chooses to forgive her but ultimately develops feelings for Han Su. This complex love quadrilateral allows "In Between" to break free from traditional romance drama patterns, presenting a more realistic portrayal of adult relationships that intertwine love, desire, and personal interests.
