The story follows a graduate student in the art department who has never left the city. After his graduation project is rejected by his professor, he is forced to take a teaching position at a rural high school for a month. During this time, he lives locally and completes his artwork through outdoor sketching. In the countryside, the substitute teacher meets a cheerful high school student who loves painting.
