"Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red-Moon Pact" is an ancient costume drama originating from mainland China. The series is co-directed by Mai Guanzhi and Du Lin, and is led by Yang Mi and Gong Jun. It also stars Guo Xiaoting, Wei Zheming, Hu Lianxin, Wen Zhenrong, Zhu Xudan, Yang Shize, Chen Yao, Mao Zijun, Chen Duling, and Zhang Linghe. The script is adapted from the comic "Fox Spirit Matchmaker" serialized by Tuo Xiaoxin on Tencent Animation and Comics. The series premiered on iQiyi on May 25, 2024.
The story tells the tale of Tu Shan Honghong (played by Yang Mi), the leader of the Tu Shan Fox tribe, a virtuous fox, and her encounter and budding romance with Dongfang Yuechu (played by Gong Jun), the legitimate heir of the Dongfang family. To protect their loved ones and maintain peace between their tribes, the lovers must understand themselves as well as adapt and challenge the various difficulties born out of their love.
