"Flourished Peony" is a historical romance television series from mainland China, produced by Huace Film & TV, directed by Ding Zigang, and written by Zhang Yuanang. The main cast includes Yang Zi and Li Xian. The series is adapted from the novel of the same name by Yi Qianchong, serialized on Qidian Chinese Network, and is set against the backdrop of the Tang Dynasty. It primarily tells the inspiring story of He Weifang, the daughter of a merchant, and Jiang Changyang, an investor in Yaguanchang'an, as they create a prosperous era together.
The series is divided into two parts. The first part, "Flourished Peony," will premiere on January 7, 2025, on the mainland China OTT platform Mango TV, and will be broadcast exclusively on Hunan TV’s Golden Eagle Drama Theater starting January 9, 2025. In Taiwan, it will be available on the OTT platforms Taiwan Mobile MyVideo and LINE TV from January 8, 2025.

The story revolves around He Weifang, who successfully escapes from a marriage based solely on profit with the help of Jiang Changyang. The two encounter each other again in the capital, where He Weifang utilizes her exceptional skills in cultivating rare peonies and her outstanding business acumen to form a partnership with Jiang Changyang as a craftsman and investor. She starts her journey by cultivating peonies and leads a group of women with tough lives to jointly operate a flower shop, building her own brand.
As the story unfolds, He Weifang gradually discovers that the infamous "Flower and Bird Envoy," Jiang Changyang, is actually pure-hearted, hiding wisdom and a deep concern for the country. Witnessing the hardships faced by impoverished scholars and the struggles of the common people, she decides to transform her efforts into a beneficial enterprise aimed at improving their lives.
