The plot centers on the timid and ghost-fearing heir of a funeral company, Wang Zhan (played by Chang Jia-sheng), who encounters the strict ace funeral director, Tang Duzhi (played by Parker Mao). As they undergo rigorous training, they gradually develop deep feelings for each other. Meanwhile, heartbroken wedding consultant Zhang Yiqing (played by Pu Jing-heng) is organizing a wedding for his long-time crush, Tu Jinghe (played by Hsu Wei-tse), while secretly harboring destructive intentions.
As the narrative intertwines funerals and weddings, the four characters must reconcile with past pains and misunderstandings, rethinking the meaning of love and life, which becomes the core focus of the series.
