"Cesium Fallout" is a disaster film co-produced by mainland China and Hong Kong, produced by Alibaba Pictures and Edko Films Ltd., among others. The film is produced by William Kong, Andy Lau, and Anthony Pun, with Anthony Pun directing and the script written by Mak Tin-shu. The main cast includes Andy Lau, Bai Yu, and Karen Mok, as well as Tse Kwan Ho, Ivana Wong, Louise Wong, Fish Liew, Louise Wong, Dee Ho, Jeffrey Ngai, and Bing Leung.
This film is the first Chinese-language movie focusing on a radiation disaster, telling the story of a group of frontline firefighters working alongside high-ranking officials to respond to a radiation crisis and striving to protect the safety of the citizens of Hong Kong. The movie is set to be released on November 1, 2024, in Hong Kong, Macau, and mainland China, followed by releases in Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei on November 7, and in Taiwan on November 8.

The plot revolves around an emergency leak of the highly radioactive substance cesium-137, which spreads rapidly within 24 hours, endangering the lives of 7 million people. Concerned about causing panic, the authorities decide to keep information about the radiation leak under wraps. Expert Fan Weili (played by Andy Lau) is summoned to an emergency crisis response team chaired by acting Chief Executive Cecilia (played by Karen Mok), leading to intense confrontations as they both struggle to secure a chance for survival for the public.

Meanwhile, fire captain Li Jiefeng (played by Bai Yu) and his team receive orders to carry out a rescue mission at an unknown frontline, only to discover that a greater secret seems to be hidden behind the natural disaster. As they face an unprecedented apocalyptic crisis, will Hong Kong be doomed to destruction overnight?
