Black Dog2024

Set in a small northwestern town over a decade ago, the film follows Erlang (played by Eddie Peng), who returns to his hometown after being released from prison. Facing prejudice and suspicion, he struggles to start a new life. To make a living, he joins a dog-catching team and rescues a stray black dog during one of their operations. Through his interactions with the black dog, Erlang finds the courage to start anew. Life blooms more fiercely in the darkness, and in their mutual redemption, both man and dog embrace a new beginning together.
