Ask the Mountain

"Ask the Mountain" is a drama film from mainland China, co-produced by Guizhou Wenshan Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and Heaven Pictures (Beijing), with Zhejiang Haoyuekun Film and Television Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Jiasi Entertainment Film Co., Ltd. jointly producing. Directed by Xu Lei, the film features renowned South Korean director Kim Ki-duk as producer and screenwriter, and stars Zhang Hao, Shi Qingfeng, Li Jiaxi, Chen Simin, and Feng Hao. The film tells the story of people in an ancient village searching for a legendary jade stone, and when the jade finally appears, it triggers a series of unexpected events. The film won the "Tongye Honor" at the 7th Pingyao International Film Festival and is set to premiere in mainland China on January 8, 2025.
