A Wonderful Journey

The storyline is set in 1999, in the aftermath of a massive earthquake, when people around the world were worried about the world ending after the millennium. There are two main characters in the Hua Li Taxi Company in Chiayi City: Chen Bo-Wen, who has just graduated from university, and Chen Bo-Han, who has just completed his voluntary service and been discharged from the army. These two brothers are facing pivotal moments in their lives, contemplating whether to enter the workplace or take over the family taxi company. They pay close attention to the coming and going of their father, Brother Ah San, and the conduct of their mother, Mother Dong, as well as the familiar yet foreign "League of Losers," comprised of uncles, aunts, and others. Despite society branding them as "losers," they have each carved out their own paths, which greatly impacts the brothers and prompts further reflection on their life paths. Faced with all of this, the brothers are in search of their future direction. The drivers at "A Wonderful Taxi Journey" company, despite the inevitable debts and bad credits, deep-seated family disputes, and societal indifference and disapproval, continue to live with a firm and indefatigable attitude. They believe: "As long as the car continues to move forward, all problems can be solved." They see themselves as "joyful fighters" and their goal is to navigate their life journey perfectly.
