18×2 Beyond Youthful Days

The story begins 18 years ago in Taiwan -- high school student Jimmy meets a backpacker from Japan, Ami, who is four years his senior, while working a part-time job. Spending that whole summer working together, Jimmy gradually develops innocent feelings for Ami. They explore the nights on a scooter and watch movies together, but as they grow closer, Ami abruptly returns to Japan. Struggling to come to terms with this reality, Ami proposes a "promise". Time passes and for some reasons Jimmy returns to his long-unvisited hometown where he finds a postcard that Ami had sent from Japan 18 years ago. Flooded by memories of his first love, Jimmy decides to face his past and take a closer look at his present self, initiating his inaugural solo trip to Japan. With the music that holds shared memories with Ami, he boards a train headed to her hometown. Will Jimmy and Ami be able to meet again?
