Zuo Xiao-qing

Zuo Xiao-qing, born on June 25, 1977, in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a Chinese mainland actress and former host of Hunan Entertainment Channel. She was once a member of the Chinese women's rhythmic gymnastics team and won multiple national championships. After retiring in 1993, she was discovered by director Jiang Wen and played a role as a limping girl in the film "In the Heat of the Sun," which sparked her interest in acting. In 1995, Zuo Xiaoqing was admitted to the Beijing Film Academy's acting department. After graduating, she returned to Changsha to become a host on Hunan TV. In 2000, she moved back to Beijing to further her acting career. In 1999, she appeared in her first TV series "財神到 (The God of Wealth)," officially entering the entertainment industry. In 2002, she starred in the historical drama "The Qianlong Dynasty." In 2004, she rose to fame for her role as Juanzi in the urban emotional drama "Chinese-style Divorce," earning her the title of "Chinese Dream Lover."
In 2007, Zuo Xiaoqing starred in the youth inspirational drama "Somewhere Winter," and won the Best Actress Award at the 2010 Huading Awards. In 2009, she appeared in the fashion emotional drama "苦咖啡 (Bitter Coffee)." In 2013, she starred in the wartime drama "Battle of Changsha." In 2014, the cross-era emotional drama "True Man" in which she starred was broadcast. In 2016, she played You Ling in the era emotional inspirational drama "我們的純真年代 (Our Pure Times)." In 2017, the era emotional drama "The Big Inn" in which she starred was broadcast. In 2019, she played Fang Jing in the urban workplace drama "Fighting Youth." In 2020, she appeared in the realistic workplace drama "The Ordinary Glory." In 2022, she starred in the contemporary military-themed drama "特戰行動 (Special Warfare Action)." In 2023, she appeared in the TV series "Thirteen Years of Dust" broadcast on iQIYI, and in the same year, she appeared in the TV series "The Outsider" broadcast on Dragon TV and Youku. In 2024, the TV series "Always On The Move" in which she starred was broadcast on CCTV-8 and iQIYI. In the same year, the film "My Dad is an Alien" in which she starred was released.
