Zhao Qi-chen

Zhao Qi-chen, born in Shenyang, Liaoning, graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University. He is a director and screenwriter from mainland China and currently serves as the general manager of Beijing Bojing Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. He joined the company in 2010, starting his work in documentary filmmaking. In May of that year, his re-edited documentary "The Botanical Kingdom through the Eyes of a Western Explorer — Diebu" aired on CCTV's Science and Education Channel and won the "Best Award — Governor's Award from Japan" at the "Asia Tourism Program International Excellence Awards." In 2015, his directed documentary "Hexi Corridor" caught attention and won the "Best Series Documentary" award at the Golden Cotton Awards, as well as the Excellent Domestic Documentary Award at the Fourth Excellent Domestic Documentary Awards. In 2016, he wrote and directed the documentary "Rebirth," which aired.
In 2020, the television drama "Detective," for which he served as a screenwriter, was broadcast. In 2021, his screenwriting work for the TV series "My Heroic Husband" and his directorial work for "My Husky Boyfriend" were released, along with the film "My Heroic Husband The Movie." In November 2022, his directed TV series "New Life Begins" was scheduled. In July 2023, he began filming the TV series "Go East." In April 2024, he started filming the fantasy drama "yǎ shè."
