Zhang Li
Zhang Li, born on July 1, 1966, in Xuchang, Henan Province, China, is a male actor and director from mainland China. He began learning traditional Chinese opera in his teens and was admitted to the Henan Opera School at the age of ten, specializing in martial roles. Due to his talent and hard work, he starred in "Sancha Kou," which won the first prize for performance at a provincial drama festival six years later, earning him the title of "Outstanding Young Actor."
Two years later, he decided to shift his focus to directing, believing that his skills in directing were more advantageous than acting. After graduation, Zhang Li was assigned to the Henan Yu Opera Troupe. Shortly after, he enrolled at the Central Academy of Drama and moved to Beijing, where he began developing his career in theater and film. With the rise of television dramas, Zhang Li actively participated in this medium, gradually moving towards success.
His breakout role came in the acclaimed production "燕子李三 (Swallow Li San)," which helped him gain prominence in the entertainment industry. In "Railway Guerrillas," he successfully portrayed the role of the deputy captain of the guerrilla team, further solidifying his status. On July 23, 2021, his film "My Father Jiao Yulu" was released nationwide. On November 9, 2023, he started filming "Blossom." On January 9, 2024, he appeared in the film "Doubao magistrate," and on February 7, the movie "五尺神探 (Five-Foot Detective)" was released on Tencent Video; on June 15, the film "Black Dog" also aired on the same platform.
