Yu Qian

Yu Qian, born on January 24, 1969, in Beijing, China, is a well-known crosstalk actor, film and television actor, and host in mainland China. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy. Yu Qian started his film and television career by participating in the 1995 TV drama "馬三立 (Ma Sanli)". Then in 1996, he took part in the TV drama "小井胡同 (Xiao Jing Hutong)", and in the same year, he began to serve as a program director and host for CCTV and Beijing TV station. In 2003, the crosstalk "你好北京 (Hello Beijing)" performed by Yu Qian and Guo Degang won the Special Award of the Organizing Committee of the Beijing Crosstalk Skit Invitational. Subsequently, he joined Deyunshe in 2004 and collaborated with Guo Degang to co-create several crosstalk shows. After 2006, Yu Qian actively participated in TV dramas, including "北平小姐 (Beiping Miss)", "追著幸福跑 (Chasing Happiness)" and the sequel to "郭縣令軼事 (Anecdotes of County Chief Guo)". In 2013, he was invited to perform crosstalk at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, showing his talent to a larger audience. In 2014, Yu Qian returned to the host industry, hosting the talk show "大謙世界 (Big Qian World)", and in 2016, he participated in the variety show "Top Funny Comedian Season Ⅱ" for the first time. In 2017, he starred in the movie "Our Happiness". By 2019, he won the Best Actor award at the 11th "Macau International Film Festival" Golden Lotus for his role in the movie "Song of Youth", and in 2020, he received the Honor Recommendation Actor Award of the inaugural "Light and Shadow China" Film Honor Festival 2019 for this work. In 2024, the film "Nothing Can't Be Undone by a HotPot" starring Yu Qian was released in mainland China.
