Yu Jing-pin

Yu Jing-ping, born on November 25, 1975, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is an outstanding female cinematographer in our film industry. She has assumed the role of director of photography in numerous films and won the honor of Best Cinematography at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards in 2021 for her remarkable visual style in the movie "Better Days". On July 2 of the same year, the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that Yu Jingping would be eligible to participate in the Oscar voting process. In 2023, she once again grabbed the Best Cinematography accolade at the 60th Golden Horse Awards with the movie "Fish Memories", not only reconfirming her expertise in cinematography but also setting a new record as the first female cinematographer to win that award.
