Yin Tao

Yin Tao (born September 6, 1982) in Beijing, is a prominent figure in the Chinese film and television industry known for his diverse career. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy and first gained recognition in 1999 as a photography assistant on the film "Criminal," starring Xu Zheng. Over the course of more than a decade, he transitioned into multiple roles, including director and producer.
In 2012, he established Beijing Bona Zhongtian International Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., and that same year, he directed his first work, the urban family drama "Mother-in-Law is Also Mom." In 2013, he set up the Shanghai Yin Tao Film and Television Culture Studio, creating a personal creative base. His collaboration with Liu Guonan on the historical drama "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" in 2017 garnered significant attention. In 2019, he showcased his ability to handle genre pieces with the costume detective drama "Under the Power."
The year 2020 marked a breakthrough in his career, as he won the Best Television Director Award at the 7th Wenrong Awards for the fantasy drama "Love and Redemption." He also received dual honors as one of the Top Five Young Directors and Outstanding Young Directors at the 3rd Chuxin List. Following this, he consistently released high-profile series such as "Ancient Love Poetry" (2021), "Who Rules The World" (2022), and "The Blood of Youth" (2022), demonstrating his solid production capabilities in genre dramas.
After completing the historical business drama "Destined" in 2023, he quickly began working on the fantasy IP adaptation "Love of the Divine Tree," serving as the chief director and overseeing production. His works span various genres, including history, fantasy, and martial arts, and he remains active at the forefront of Chinese film and television creation.
