Yang Mi

Yang Mi (Mini Yang), born on September 12, 1986, in Beijing, is a famous actress in mainland China, a pop singer, and a film and television producer. Yang started acting in TV dramas when she was four years old and appeared as an extra in Stephen Chow's film "King of Beggars". In 2003, Yang officially entered the film industry, and in 2005 she enrolled in the undergraduate program at the Beijing Film Academy's Acting Department. She began to attract public attention in 2006 through her role in "The Return of the Condor Heroes". In 2008, she was nominated as the Best Actress in the Audience's Favorite TV Drama at the 24th Chinese Television Golden Eagle Award for her role in "Wang Zhaojun". In 2009, she was crowned as one of the "Four Dan Actresses" among post-80s generation stars and gained great popularity for starring in the TV dramas "Chinese Paladin 3" and "Palace". In 2011, she expanded to music and other fields, and also served as a producer for a TV drama for the first time. In 2012, Yang Mi Studio was established. In 2016, "Les Interprètes," a work drama she starred in, became the national annual TV drama ratings champion. In 2017, she gained extremely high attention after the broadcast of "Eternal Love," which she starred in, and won the Best Actress award at the Houston International Film Festival for her performance in the sci-fi film "Reset". In 2018, she won the Most Welcomed Actress by College Students award at the Beijing College Student Film Festival for "Brotherhood of Blades II: The Infernal Battlefield" and received the Best Actress Emerald Award at the 5th China Good Actor Awards. In 2021, Yang Mi appeared in the Central Radio and Television’s Spring Festival Gala for the first time as a singer.
