Wong Kwong Leung

Wong Kwong Leung (Tommy Wong), born on September 25, 1958, is a renowned actor and film producer from Hong Kong who also maintains business ventures. He was a principal contract artist at TVB in his early years and is currently a member of the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Association and a member of the Star Basketball Team. In the entertainment industry, he is well-known for his unique facial features and his adept portrayal of villainous roles. Along with other influential actors including Lee Siu Kei, Shing Fui-On, and Ho Ka Kui, he was one of the 'Four Great Villains' in Hong Kong cinema. Moreover, he is the only one among these four 'villains' who is still alive. In addition, his role as 'Big Eye Kwong' in the film "Ghost Lantern" was hugely popular among the audience, earning him the affectionate nickname of 'Big Eye Kwong'. His formal acting debut was in 1983 in the film "Oh! My Cops", but his breakout role was 'Stupid Bill' in the 1987 film "Prison on Fire", a performance that confirmed his talent in the industry by earning him the Best New Actor Award at the 7th Hong Kong Film Awards. His unforgettable role as 'Gexiao Da' in the 1995 film "A Chinese Torture Chamber Story" left a deep impression on spectators. That same year, he also participated in the TVB variety show "Movie Buff Championship". In 2009, Tommy Wong released his first music piece "中國氣概 (Chinese Pride)". In 2013, he was invited to act in TVB's TV series "Inbound Troubles" as 'Chai Yat Kit', followed by another role as 'Ma La Gao' in the TV drama "Come On, Cousin" in 2014.
