Wong Kwok-fai

Wong Kwok Fai, a seasoned creator from Hong Kong, began his career as a scriptwriter for the TVB show "Enjoy Yourself Tonight" and gradually promoted to the position of script editor. In 1991, Wong joined the drama department, with "The Buddhism Palm Strikes Back" being his first series as a script editor.
In 2006, he left his full-time position but maintained a contractual relationship with TVB in a freelance capacity. In 2014, he directed the political series "Election" for HKTV. Two years later, Wong completely left TVB, with his farewell work being "The Last Healer In Forbidden City". That same year, he directed his first feature-length drama "The Moment". In 2021, his directed TV series "Murder Diary" aired on Youku. The same year, his movie "The Attorney" was released in mainland China. In 2022, the TV drama "Modern Dynasty", which he wrote, premiered on Youku, with its second season, "The Heir to the Throne", also airing in 2024.
