Wei Li-zhou

Wei Li-zhou (David Wei), an emerging film director in China, was a student of Professor Zhou Chuanji from the original Beijing Film Academy and thus, shares a mentor-student relationship with the renowned Chinese film directors Zhang Yimou and Chen Kaige. In 2015, his adaptation of the horror movie "Medical Examiner-Dr.Qin Soul From The Rear of Car" was released, earning him the Golden Rose New Director Award in the same year. He also received the "Best Director" award for the years 2014-2015 at the 3rd Annual South Micro Film Golden Phoenix Awards. In 2019, his adventure film "Mojin: Raiders of the Wu Gorge" was released in theaters across China and once again gained public recognition. In 2020, his directed TV series "Ultimate Note" was broadcast on the streaming platform iQIYI. In 2021, his directed web series "To Be With You" was also broadcast on iQIYI. By 2024, he had directed two series, "Eternal Brotherhood" and "Heroes," both of which were simultaneously broadcast on iQIYI and Tencent Video.
