Wang Ping-wen

Wang Ping-wen is a rising director from Taiwan, born in 1987. she graduated from the Film Production Graduate School at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, USA. During his time at school, she was recognized for her outstanding talent and selected by the well-known American film magazine Variety as one of "the 100 most promising film students in America." In 2016, Wang's graduate work, "Labyrinth", was her first entry at a women's film festival. Subsequently, in 2018, her short film "Military Dog" won a gold award at the same festival. In 2024, Wang Ping-Wen's film "A Journey in Spring" is set to be released in Taiwan, having already won the Silver Shell Award for Best Director at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, as well as being nominated for Best New Director at the Golden Horse Awards and selected for the "New Directors/New Films" festival in New York.
