Van Fan

Van Fan (Fan Yi-chen), born on November 3, 1978, whose real name is Fan You-Chen and goes by the Amis name Linas, is of the Amis tribe and is a well-known actor and singer-songwriter in Taiwan. He was born in Taiyuan Village, Donghe Township, Taitung County, and entered the entertainment industry in 2002. He became well-known to the public for his remarkable rendition of the theme song "I Believe" for the movie "My Sassy Girl," quickly becoming a popular newcomer that year.
Apart from "I Believe," his other well-known songs include "Piano," "Fang Sheng (Let Go)," "Wu Le Bu Zuo (No Music, No Life)," and "South of the Border," among others. His musical talent extends beyond singing. In 2009, he formed the "Craze Band" with Alex Huang and established the music production company "天堂鳥 (Paradise Bird)."
In 2008, Fan Yi-Chen starred in the debut film "Cape No. 7" directed by Taiwanese director Wei Te-Sheng, setting a new box office record for Taiwanese films. His performance of the film's theme song, "South of the Border," won the Best Original Film Song Award at the 45th Golden Horse Awards, bringing his acting career to a new peak.
In addition, he has participated in numerous TV and film productions, including the TV drama "Express Boy" and the movies "Death Trip" and "Chinese Wine," among others. He continues to challenge himself and participated in the music culture exchange program "Infinity and Beyond 2023" in 2023. His multi-faceted and rich acting career has made Van Fan a standout and highly praised figure in Taiwan's entertainment industry.
