Teresa Mo

Teresa Mo (Mo Shun-kwan) is a well-known actress from Hong Kong, born on November 5, 1960, and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. In 1977, she began her career in entertainment by playing the role of Lin Daiyu in "Dream of the Red Chamber". Four years later in 1981, she signed a contract with TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited). Over the next few years, her stellar performances in series like "The Duke of Mount Deer" and "The Yang's Saga" brought her widespread fame. In 1989, Teresa Mo co-starred with Stephen Chow in the popular series "The Justice of Life", which led her into the realm of comedy. In 1991, she moved into the film industry, and her roles in "Legend of the Dragon" and "The Magnificent Scoundrels" left a deep impression on audiences. Her leading role in "All's Well, Ends Well" was a box-office hit, and remains her most commercially successful film. In 1994, she chose to retire to focus on family life. In 2000, Mo Shun-kwan made a comeback and turned to hosting. She hosted several programs on Cable TV in Hong Kong. In 2005, she won Best Supporting Actress at the 25th Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in "2 Young". In 2010, she decided to bid farewell to the TV industry with the TVB drama "Some Day". In 2017, her performance in the film "Tomorrow is another day" won her Best Actress at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards and the 58th Asia Pacific Film Festival. In 2020, Teresa Mo appeared on the ViuTV program "Her Film Her Story". In 2023, she was nominated for Best Actress at the 41st Hong Kong Film Awards for her outstanding performance in the film "Mama's Affair". In the same year, the movie "Over My Dead Body" starring Teresa Mo was released in Hong Kong.
