Sweet Li

Sweet Li, known as Li Qin in Chinese, was born on September 27, 1990, in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. She studied at the affiliated drama school of the Shanghai Theatre Academy in her early years and performed the Kunqu operas "The Peony Pavilion: The Garden" and "The Peony Pavilion: The Dream" at the age of 13. She officially entered the entertainment industry in 2008 when she played the young Xue Baochai in the "Dream of Red Mansions" series directed by Li Shaohong. Her lead roles in the TV dramas "Shining Days," "Daughter's Back," and "花開半夏 (Blossom in Heart)" in 2013 drew much attention. In 2019, she received praise for her roles in the film "The Captain" and "Jade Dynasty," and the TV drama "Joy of Life." Particularly, her leading role in "The Song of Glory" in 2021 became the first Chinese drama to win the Best TV Drama at the International Emmy Awards. Besides her performances in dramas, Li Qin was nominated for the Best Newcomer at the 31st Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards for her outstanding performance in the movie "Beginning of the Great Revival." In 2018, her starring role in "The Founding of an Army" led to her nomination for Best Actress at the 34th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards. In 2024, she played the leading female role in the financial espionage drama "War of Faith," aired on CCTV and iQiyi.
