Sun Li

Sun Li (born September 26, 1982), also known as Betty Sun, is a renowned actress from Shanghai, China. She is affiliated with Hairun Film and Television and is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. She has won three of the most prestigious awards in Chinese television: the Golden Eagle Award, the Flying Apsaras Award, and the White Magnolia Award, making her the youngest actress in Chinese television history to achieve a domestic grand slam of awards at the age of 35. In 2019, she was honored as one of the "Top Ten TV Actresses in the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of New China."
Sun Li began studying dance at the age of five and joined the Shanghai Garrison Literary and Art Troupe at 15, serving as an artistic soldier for three years. After her service, she enrolled in the Shanghai Yindu Art School and graduated from the Oriental Culture Institute with a degree in film and television. In 2001, she participated in the "Talent Show" competition held in Singapore, winning the runner-up title and the Wisdom Award, and subsequently became the first artist signed by Beijing Hairun Performing Arts Agency.
In 2003, Sun Li gained fame for her role in "Yu Guanyin," for which she won the "Most Popular Actress Award" and the "Most Loved TV Actress Award" at the 22nd China Television Golden Eagle Awards. In 2005, she starred in the military-themed drama "Happiness as Flowers," performing the ending theme song "Love is Like Air." In 2006, she received the "Best Newcomer Award" at the 28th Hundred Flowers Awards for her role in the film "Fearless."
In 2012, Sun Li starred in the Qing Dynasty palace drama "Empresses in the Palace," playing the character Zhen Huan, which won her widespread popularity. In 2013, she starred in the modern drama "Hot Mom!," earning the "Best Actress Award" at the 20th Shanghai Television Festival White Magnolia Awards, as well as the "Most Popular Actress Award" and the "Audience Favorite TV Actress Award" at the 27th China Television Golden Eagle Awards.
In 2016, she won the "Best Actress Award" at the 22nd Shanghai Television Festival White Magnolia Awards for her role as Mi Yue in the drama "Legend of Mi Yue." In 2017, she starred in the television series "Nothing Gold Can Stay," receiving the "Outstanding Actress Award" at the 31st China Television Flying Apsaras Awards. In 2018, she starred in the film "Shadow," earning a nomination for "Best Actress" at the 55th Taiwan Golden Horse Awards.
