Shen Teng

Shen Teng, born on October 23, 1979, in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province, graduated from the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art. He is a well-known actor, director, and screenwriter in mainland China, and a member of the Mahua Fun Age team. In 2003, he became a signed artist for Mahua Fun Age stage plays, starring in "Want to Eat Twist, I'll Give You One". In 2012, he made his debut on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, performing the skit "Today's Happiness" and rising to fame with the role of Hao Jian. In 2015, he performed in the variety show "Top Funny Comedian Season Ⅰ" and gained fame with the film "Goodbye Mr. Loser", winning the Golden Goat Award for Best Actor at the Macau International Film Festival, marking a successful transition from stage to film actor.
From 2018 to 2019, Shen Teng starred in "Hello Mr. Billionaire", "Pegasus", and "Crazy Alien". In 2021, his film "Hi, Mom" grossed 5.413 billion yuan, and he made his directorial debut with the segment Young Blood in "My Country, My Parents". In 2022, "Moon Man", in which he starred, achieved the second highest box office in China for the year. In 2023, his film "Full River Red" grossed 4.544 billion yuan, becoming the top-grossing Chinese film of the year. In 2024, "Pegasus 2" became the second highest-grossing film in China for the first half of the year, and "Successor" was released on July 16.
Beyond his acting career, Shen Teng has served as a "Red Ribbon Health Ambassador," participating in the "Beautiful Youth, I Decide—Red Ribbon Health Ambassador Campus Tour" and was the charity image ambassador for the Hongzhou Hainan International Marathon in 2006. He is known as "Mr. 10 Billion Box Office" in Chinese cinema and ranked 6th on the Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2019.
