Shen Ao

Shen Ao, born on September 11, 1986, is a male director, screenwriter, and producer from Mainland China, who graduated from the Beijing Film Academy's directing department. His creative career began in 2005 when he wrote and directed his first short film, "The Opposite Shore," which won the second prize in the student short film unit at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, as well as the best short film and outstanding short drama director awards at the first China International New Media Short Film Festival. In 2019, he directed his first feature-length drama, "My Dear Liar," which won the "Golden Deer Award" for Best Debut Film at the Changchun Film Festival and the Golden Rooster Award for Best Director's Debut in China. In 2023, he directed film "No More Bets" and it was released in Mainland China. In 2024, his first series work "Regeneration," which he directed and wrote, was launched on Youku.
