Shawn Yue (Yue Man-lok), born on November 13, 1981, in Hong Kong, is a film and television actor, singer, and the founder of the fashion brand MADNESS. He is also the owner of the professional e-sports team MAD Team. Shawn Yue's entertainment career began in 2000 when he starred in his first TV drama "Youth @ Y2K," officially making his debut. In 2001, his first feature film "Leaving In Sorrow" was released. In 2002, he appeared in the film "Infernal Affairs," playing the young Chan Wing Yan, and gained fame for his outstanding performance. That same year, he released his first solo EP album "Private Room," followed by other EPs "Survivor" and the album "Whether Or Not." In 2005, Shawn Yue's performance in the film "Initial D" left a deep impression on the audience. Between 2006 and 2010, he appeared in multiple film and television works, including "Redphoenix," "Shamo," "Rule #1," "Curse of the Deserted," and "Love in a Puff." In 2016, Shawn Yue delivered an outstanding performance in the film "Mad World," earning a nomination at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards, although he did not win. In 2017, he starred in the police action film "The Brink" and announced his marriage to Sarah Wang; the couple has a son and a daughter. In 2019, he won the Weibo Annual Male God Award at the 2018 Weibo Night. In 2020, he participated in the variety show "J-Style Trip" and starred in the film "Monster Run." On June 15, 2024, the film "Operation Black-ops," in which Shawn Yue stars, is scheduled to be released in mainland China, where he plays the character "Bat."
