Sharon Wu
Sharon Wu, a sharp-minded scriptwriter from Taiwan, was born in 1984 and graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages at the National Taiwan University and the Graduate Institute of Scriptwriting at Taipei National University of the Arts. Her scripts have been awarded several accolades, including the Excellent TV Play Script Awards from the Ministry of Culture, the Yau Yi-wei Script Award, the Ministry of Education's Literary Award, and the Taipei Literature Award. However, her work isn't limited to scripts, she's also made her mark in movies, TV series, and stage plays with standout pieces such as "求生不能 (Survivor's Guilt)", "Winnie The Boob", "Roommates", and "Marry My Dead Body", which clearly demonstrate her unique perspective and writing style.
In addition to this, Sharon Wu is also a music creator, having released a single titled "別像個男人 (Don't Be Like a Man)". Despite her achievements in writing, she has confessed that her 13-year career in scriptwriting is also filled with pain. There were moments of deep despair when she considered drastically changing her career or even leaving the field altogether. Yet, she's chosen to persist and continue creating in the theater, exhibiting the resilience and tenacity inherent to a scriptwriter.
