Roy Chiu

Roy Chiu (Chiu Tse, Qiu Ze), born on October 14, 1981, is a multifaceted Taiwanese artist, who is an actor, race car driver, singer, and former volleyball player. He first entered the Taiwanese entertainment industry in 2001, but due to initial difficulties in adaptation, he temporarily left. However, he had a breakthrough in 2008 and returned to the industry. In 2011, Chiu garnered public attention for his brilliant performance in the idol drama "Office Girls". Then, in 2016, his outstanding performances in "Marry Me, or Not?" and “Rock Records in Love: Last Love Song” earned him nominations for Best Actor in a Drama Series and Best Actor in a Mini-Series/Television Movie at the 51st Golden Bell Awards. Two years later in 2018, his performance in "Dear Ex" earned him a Best Actor nomination at the 55th Golden Horse Awards and made him the Best Actor winner at the 20th Taipei Film Awards. In 2020, Chiu played the lead role of Lin Mo in the popular web drama "Detective Chinatown", once again showcasing his excellent acting skills. In 2021, he received the Best Actor award at the 23rd Taipei Film Awards for "Man In Love", was nominated for Best Actor at the 58th Golden Horse Awards, and even won the Best Actor award at the 3rd Taiwan Film Critics Association Awards the following year.
