Qi Xi, born on September 16, 1984 in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, is an actress who graduated from the PLA Academy of Arts Dance Department and later the Central Academy of Drama Directing Department. In 2008, her roles in stage dramas gradually gained public attention and recognition. Three years later, her lead role in the film "Mystery" won her several Best New Actress awards at venues such as the 49th Taiwan Golden Horse Film Awards, the 7th Asian Film Awards, and the 13th Chinese Film Media Awards. In 2019, Qi Xi played a leading role in the film "So Long, My Son" by director Wang Xiaoshuai, and gained acclaim as the supporting actress of the year in the Youth Film Handbook. In 2020, she appeared in the film "The Calming" and won the New Promising Actress of the Year at the 15th Chinese Youth Film Week due to this role. In 2022, Qi Xi starred in the film "Nice View" directed by Wen Muye, winning the Media's Most Notable Supporting Actress award at the Film Channel Media Honor Night, a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 36th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards and the Best Supporting Actress award at the 35th Golden Rooster Awards. Also that year, she was nominated for Best Actress at the 17th Changchun Film Festival for her role in "Before Next Spring". As an important member of the China Film Association and the China Film Performance Art Society, Qi Xi served as a judge at several film festivals and as a mentor for creative activities from 2022 to 2023. In 2024, she was honored as Annual Outstanding Actor at the Film Channel M Chart Honor Night for the years 2023-2024. Also in 2024, the film "Hovering Blade" in which she starred, was released in mainland China.
