Philip Ng

Philip Ng (Ng Wan-lung) was born on September 16, 1977, in Hong Kong and later moved with his family to Chicago, USA. His father, Ng Siu-wah, is the founder of the Ng Family Martial Arts Association. Before becoming an actor, Philip was an art teacher and also served as a master in Wing Chun and Hung Gar, while also exploring various martial arts including Taekwondo, Western boxing, and Judo.
In 1990, he taught Wing Chun in the United States and obtained recognition from the Hong Kong Wing Chun Athletic Association. He is also the head coach of the Ng Family Martial Arts Association. In 2002, Philip returned to Hong Kong to develop his career and began participating in various films, TV dramas, and advertisements. In the early 2000s, he worked as an assistant martial arts director with the "Chin Stunt Team" under Chin Ka-lok, gaining recognition from Chin through a recommendation from a church brother.
In 2013, he signed a contract to become an actor under Wong Jing's studio, making his leading role debut in the film "Once Upon a Time in Shanghai," directed by Wong Jing, alongside his friend Andy On. As his acting career progressed, Philip became a martial arts instructor for several artists, including Nicholas Tse, who recommended him to Wong Jing.
In 2015, he participated in the TVB series "A Fist Within Four Walls" as a freelance actor. In 2018, he appeared in the sci-fi web series "The Great Adventurer Wesley." In 2019, Philip left his management company and co-founded the studio "Pineapple Movie" with screenwriter Lui Koon Nam, where he took on roles as a planner, actor, and action director. He produced and acted in "Profile in Anger."
Throughout his acting career, he has appeared in films such as "Treasure Inn," "Naked Soldier," and "From Vegas to Macau." He also starred in the 2022 TV series "The Righteous Fists." On May 1, 2024, he portrayed the villain Wang Jiu in the film "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In," significantly boosting his fame. Subsequently, he participated in filming "Armorded" on June 27, and "Second Life" premiered on August 15. His starring film "Stuntman" also premiered in Hong Kong that same year.
