Mark Cheng (Cheng Ho-Nam) is a Hong Kong actor, originally named Zheng Lixing, made his debut in the 1985 romance film "Cupid one". His performance in the film earned him a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 5th Hong Kong Film Awards. Upon debuting, his handsome looks made him perfect for heroic roles. As times changed, he ventured into different roles, boasting both villain performances and Category III films under his belt, and won high praise for his acting skills. In 1986, his role in the drama film "Peking Opera Blues" caught the public's attention. In 1993, he acted in the Category III film "Raped by an Angel". Later, in 1998 and 2002, he participated in the gangster film "Young and Dangerous V" and the science fiction film "The Wesley's Mysterious File", respectively. Of all the roles he played, his performances in the 2008 modern martial arts love film "Legendary Assassin", the 2011 fantasy love film "The Land With No Boundary," and the Qing palace drama "Desperate Love" were the most impactful. After completing his part in "The Wesley's Mysterious File", Mark Cheng decided to take a break from the entertainment industry and focus on his career in Malaysia. However, in 2005, when acclaimed director Johnnie To invited him to make a guest appearance in "Election 2", he chose to return to the Hong Kong film industry. At the same time, he also starred in the inspirational youth drama "Sunshine in Me" and the black comedy police film "Two Thumbs Up" in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
