Maggie Cheung Ho-Yee, born on March 20, 1970, is a well-known female artist from Hong Kong. She was a contracted actress and leading lady at the former Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and Hong Kong Television Network (HKTV), and has been hailed as one of "The Five Major Actresses of the TVB in the Millennium" and the "Goddess of HKTV".
In 1989, Cheung made her debut on the big screen, starring in her first film, "A Better Tomorrow 3: Love and Death in Saigon". In 1994, she participated in the Miss Hong Kong Pageant and subsequently became a TVB-signed artist.
In 1998, for her exceptional performance in the period drama "Old Time Buddy", Cheung won one of the Five Most Memorable Female Lead Awards of the 20th Century from TVB. By the year 2003, her brilliant performance in the fashionable drama series "The King of Yesterday and Tomorrow" earned her the Best Actress Award at the TVB Anniversary Awards.
