Ma Xue

Ma Xue, born on May 29, 1980, in Beijing, is a film and television producer, director, screenwriter, and presenter, and a seasoned entertainment critic. She is also an expert in Korean entertainment and a famous host of Hallyu programs. In addition, she has rich experience in corporate management, has held positions such as program host in the Central People's Broadcasting Station and Korean KBS International Broadcasting Station, and has held leadership positions in many companies. In 2002, Ma Xue published a book called "Clicking on Korea". In 2006, she founded Beijing Kuan Na International Cultural Communication Co., Ltd., served as its CEO, and planned multiple events and concerts for Korean artists visiting China. In 2012, she produced the first Chinese-Korean co-produced web drama, "Secret Angel". In 2014, Ma Xue's company successfully produced large-scale reality shows starring big-name celebrities, such as "Secretly Greatly" and "honey!Go!". In 2015, she invested in and produced the Jiangsu TV show "All the Way with You" and served as the executive producer of the reality show "Real Hero". In 2017, Ma Xue began to venture into the film industry and participated in the production of "Explosion" and "The Thousand Faces of Dunjia". In 2018, she served as the executive producer of the film "Airpocalypse", and in 2019, she served as the executive producer of the film "Sheep Without a Shepherd". Ma Xue participated in the planning of the film "Detective Chinatown 3" in 2021. In 2023, "White River" premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival and was nominated for the Bright Future Award at the 52nd Rotterdam International Film Festival. In 2024, she directed the film "Labyrinth " which earned her Best Director awards at the 7th Los Angeles Independent Women's Film Festival and the 10th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival.
