Li Miao, born on February 8, 1986, in Beijing, is a screenwriter from mainland China. Her notable works include "I Am Somebody" and "In Search of Lost Time." Li Miao earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts at Peking University and a Master of Arts degree from the Hong Kong Baptist University School of Film. After graduating, she joined director Er Dongsheng's Film Unlimited Production Co. Ltd. where she began her screenwriting career.
On July 3, 2015, she served as an assistant writer for the comedy film "I Am Somebody," which premiered in mainland China. On October 28, 2019, she co-wrote the biographical film "Priestess Dong," which was screened at the Mallorca International Film Festival.
On August 13, 2022, the film "In Search of Lost Time," adapted by Li Miao and Er Dongsheng, premiered at the Beijing International Film Festival, earning her a nomination for Best Screenwriter at the 18th Changchun Film Festival. In 2024, her screenplay for the film "Wonderful Youth" is set to be released nationwide. As a new generation of young filmmakers, Li Miao continues to shine in the field of writing and directing.
