Li Hai-shu

Li Hai-shu, born in Tonghai County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, with ancestral roots in Sichuan Province, is a mainland Chinese female director, screenwriter, and producer. After graduating in 2000, she has been continuously involved in the creation of films and TV series. From 2002 to 2005, Li Haishu participated as one of the screenwriters in the production of Jackie Chan's blockbuster film "The Myth," and served as the assistant director during its filming. In 2005, the mythological romance drama "The Myth," for which she was the screenwriter, premiered in the prime time slot on CCTV-8. Starring Hu Ge and Bai Bing, the drama set a new viewership record for the channel's opening drama of the year. In 2009, the TV series "See A-Lang Again," for which Li Haishu served as the screenwriter, was broadcast. In 2012, she directed her first film, "Meet the In-Laws," and won the Outstanding Director Award at the Zhejiang Province Film "Phoenix Awards" for this work.
In 2017, Li Haishu directed the romantic comedy film "Mr.Pride VS Miss Prejudice," which earned Dilraba Dilmurat and Zhang Yunlong the Best Newcomer Award and the Knight Spirit Award from the China-UK Film Festival Committee. In 2018, she began filming the suspense movie "解聘師 (The Dismissal Master)." In 2019, the crime suspense film "Whisper of Silent Body," co-directed by Li Haishu and Huang Yanwei, was released in mainland China but was later postponed due to technical reasons. In 2020, the TV series "With You," for which Li Haishu served as a screenwriter, was broadcast on Dragon TV. In 2021, she served as a mentor for the fifth phase of the "Jackie Chan Film A Plan" "Filming Workshop." In 2022, the TV series "Are You Safe" for which she was the screenwriter, was broadcast. In 2024, the series "The Legend of Heroes," for which she participated as a screenwriter, was scheduled to be broadcast. That same year, the TV drama "人魚 (Mermaid)," directed by her, began filming.
