Li Chung-chi

Li Chung-chi (Nicky Li) was born on December 23, 1963, and is a renowned action choreographer in Hong Kong's film industry, recognized as an outstanding member of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team. He has collaborated with numerous talented directors such as Benny Chan and Alan Mak, and has worked alongside stars like Wu Jing, creating many unforgettable action films. His fight choreography is known for its simplicity, robustness, and explosive power, which has firmly established his esteemed position in the Hong Kong and greater Chinese film industry. He has risen to prominence following in the footsteps of masters like Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Lau Kar-leung, Ching Siu-tung, and Yuen Woo-ping. John Li's notable works include "New Police Story," "Rob-B-Hood," and "Invisible Target," all of which are outstanding collaborations with the genius director Benny Chan. In 2008, he teamed up with Wu Jing to produce his directorial debut, "Legendary Assassin." He won the Golden Horse Award for Best Action Choreography twice with "New Police Story" and "Connected," and also clinched the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Action Choreography with "SPL II: A Time for Consequences" and "Raging Fire." In 2016, he further solidified his status in the film industry by winning the Best Action Film Director at the 20th Huading Awards for "Wolf Warriors."
