Lam Suet

Lam Suet, originally named Lin Jie, was born on July 8, 1964, in Tianjing. He joined the Hong Kong film industry in 1982, with his debut work being "Spooky, Spooky". In his early career, he encountered director Johnnie To and took on a minor role in "The Longest Nite". His outstanding performances, particularly in the 1999 film "The Mission", were recognized at the Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, and he became more active in the film industry. His works include films such as "Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky", "Needing You..." and "PTU", with his role in "PTU" earning him the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Golden Bauhinia Awards. In 2004, he collaborated with Stephen Chow on the film "Shark Busters" and also took part in "Kung Fu Hustle" the same year. In 2013, apart from acting in "That Mr. Zhou?", he also took on his first role as a film producer. In 2014, his starring role in the ancient comedy film "Just Another Margin" received wide acclaim, and his excellent performance in "Trivisa" in 2017 won him the Best Supporting Actor award at the 11th Asian Film Awards. His performances are not limited to Hong Kong, as his roles in films like "Dynasty Warriors", "Lamb Game", and "I Did It My Way" were successively released in mainland China from 2021-2023.
